Personal Arcana ("we," "us") turns your photos into personalized tarot artwork. We take the privacy of your images and information seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

Information we collect

Photos you provide of yourself, people who have consented, or pets — used solely to create your commission.
Contact and order details — your name, email, product selection, style preferences, and any notes you send us.
Payment information — processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Basic site analytics — privacy-first, aggregate traffic data (via Cloudflare Web Analytics). No cross-site tracking cookies unless you engage with an advertising link.

How we use your information

To create, proof, revise, and deliver your commissioned artwork.
To communicate with you about your order, including sending proofs and a secure photo-upload link.
To process payments and fulfill physical print orders through our print partners.
To feature finished cards on social media only if you explicitly opt in (the "feature my card" checkbox). You can withdraw this consent at any time by emailing us.

Photo retention & deletion

Your source photos are used only to produce your commission and are permanently deleted 90 days after delivery. We do not use your photos to train AI models, and we do not sell, rent, or share them with anyone except the AI image-generation and print vendors strictly necessary to fulfill your order.

Who we share data with

We share the minimum necessary with service providers that help us operate: payment processing (Stripe), lead/form delivery (Formspree), AI image generation (e.g. OpenAI), and print-on-demand fulfillment (e.g. MakePlayingCards, Gelato). Each processes data only to perform its service. We never sell your personal information.

Your rights

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or request early deletion of your photos and details at any time. Email hello@personalarcana.com and we'll respond promptly.

Children

Our service is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Cards depicting a minor may be commissioned only by that child's parent or legal guardian.
